right click after a word

i i do a left click on a word, all the word is selected (that’s perfect)
but if i do a right click just after a word to paste something, the right click also select the word, so what i paste erase the word
perhaps an evolution of notepad++ could correct this -
this doesn’t happen to me but I’m running under wine emulation.
Is it really a right click of the mouse or do you mean you do a left click
of the mouse but on the right side (the end) of the current word?Cheers

thanks for your answer, its very strange, perhaps its just a problem with my mouse (certainly) coz today i havent this problem.
