NPP doesn't appear in w8 default programs list

NPP (for that matter notepad.exe too) doesn’t appear in w8 default programs list (Control Panel - Default Program - Set your Default Program)
How do we add npp to that list.
Though there are other method of setting npp as default for extensions but, after adding to the main list, it will easy to handle its association.
