Large collapsed XML slow to scroll.

I have a XMl-like file with relatively large text blocks (up to 2k lines) within tags. When i use collapse all feature scrolling starts to lag.
Is there a fix to this problem?

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
