Horizontal scrolling is not working with the mouse Logitech MX Master and Master 2s

I’m using Logitech master 2s mouse, and having problem with horizontal scrolling with notepad++.
I can use thumb wheel to horizontal scroll with other application like firefox, excel as well, but with notepadd++ it doesn’t work.

did you try this

A small number of customers have reported minor scrolling issues while using the MX Master mouse in free spin mode. If you are experiencing scrolling issues, we recommend that you disable smooth scrolling in the Logitech Options software.

I did try that, and it didn’t work for me. But maybe it is worth giving it another go…will be back with the results…

it looks like it is more a logitech issue than a notepad++ one.
If you search the web about Logitech MX and scrolling issue you will find
that this is quite an issue . Some stated that the last Logitech software solved the issue
but others stated that it doesn’t - I guess still worth giving a try.

Hi All,
I have new update, a temporary solution:

Step1: Open “Document Map” in notepad++ by “View”->“Document Map”.

Step2: Use Thumb Scroll in “Document Map” area, then move back to document, you will be able to use Horizontal Scroll feature.

Waiting for a complete solution from notepad++, Logitech or pro member.

So it looks like we have almost 2020, new Mouse MX Master 3 and that exact issue was not fixed.

Gang! As of today, v8.4.2 now fixes the horizontal scroll issue with Notepadd++ with Logitech MX series mice. It’s been so many years I am so grateful to the team for fixing this.

I had to use keep editor open like TextPad just to keep files open that required horizontal scrolling. Thank you guys!
