Notepad++ can't enter data

Hi! I have just downloaded Notepad++. I seem to have fallen at the first fence! I can’t type anything in the page. What am I doing wrong?

Panic over, I downloaded the wrong version of Notepad++. Uninstalled the old version and installed the correct version and all works ok.
