      Removed 7.5.4 and installed npp.7.5.3.Installer.x64.exe. Same situation - won’t start.
      This on a fairly new HP Laptop with i7 & 16GB RAM, SSD. Just switching over to the personal laptop as I have to return the work laptop (where Notepad++ is working fine).
      The only similar issue I found was someone was opening a very large .xml file. In my case before the last boot I had only 6 to 12 small text files open.

      I need my Notepad++!

        @Steffan-Rhoads

        shot in the dark - I assume you do have the default installation where the user
        specific configuration is saved under %APPDATA%\notepad++ directory, if so,
        stop npp, open explorer and goto %APPDATA% directory and rename notepad++ to something else. Restart npp and new directory notepad++ and the default configuration
        files should have been created.

        Cheers
        Claudia

          @Claudia-Frank : that was the trick. I presume I set something that was causing the problem myself (seems odd to manifest that way). Thank-you, I was trying Visual Code & Sublime but really prefer Notepad++. Thank you!
