Problem with syntax highlighting

Hi, in the latest version of Notepad++ (v7.5.4) there’s a bug related to syntax highlighting.
If I double-click on an asp file Notepad++ opens it but syntax is not highlighted as usual.
But if I close the window and double-click again on the same file, this time it opens correctly and syntax is highlighted.
Can you please check and fix this problem?

v7.5.4 is not the latest version. Version 7.5.8 was released July 23. If you go to https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/ , you can always see what the most recent version is.
This FAQ will explain where to make a bug report so that the developers will actually take note.
