Suggestion to reduce flickering in Folder as Workspace window

For me, the Folder as Workspace window flickers distractingly whenever I am processing files when the various tools I use delete and create files.
Can I suggest that instead of invalidating this window on every file change message (or whatever) you note the changes and have a timer that periodically checks to see if any changes have happened… once every few seconds is often enough (for me). Further, how about double-buffering the output to reduce the flicker to the absolute minimum.
Many thanks for a very fine tool which I find myself using in preference to the built-in editors in many IDEs.
