Old time user who believe in donating, Upgraded to New version, Need Help
recently updated to new version because I wanted the nppFTP tool.
Have two issues.

clicked line number option in settings. line number show in HEX?? how to change
How to DOC the NppFTP tool to window.

I’ll answer the easy one first. To dock NppFTP to the Notepad++ window, drag it to the edge you want it to dock on, until it shows the docking outline, and then stop dragging.

As far as I know, it is impossible to get the line numbers in hex. So I don’t know how you got that. Maybe you have a plugin that’s modifying it, or an unofficial build of Notepad++? Please go to the ? menu, and select Debug Info > Copy debug info into clipboard and paste it here for us to see.

Seems like you installed my CustomLineNumbers plugin. If so, deselect (menu) Plugins -> CustomLineNumbers -> Active or, if you do not need it, uninstall that plugin using PluginManager (up to Npp v7.5.9) or PluginsAdmin (Npp v7.6 and above).

OH Yes BUT, I turn off line numbers, go to plugin manager, click CustomLineNumbers, click remove. watch as it’s removing the dll. restarts notpad++, turn on line numbers and they are still in HEX. look at plugin manager, customer line number still shows as it is installed.
Any help would be appreciated…

At first we need to know the version number of your Notepad++ installation.

Dinkumoil, Thanks for replying. Sorry it took so long as I had to wait 30 minutes to post again. I just happeded to use Plugin Admin and removed it from there and its now gone. Thanks for responding. Not sure by Plugin manager didnt’ remove it but Plugin Admin did finally remove it. MUCH Appreciated.

Because Plugins Admin is built into Notepad++ v7.6.x and newer, and is compatible with the newest (v7.6.6); whereas Plugin Manager was an externally-maintained tool which is now incompatible with v7.6.x.

Since you keep refusing to help us help you (ie, post the Debug Info), we cannot actually confirm your version number… but since you have Plugins Admin available, I assume it’s v7.6.x, and since you said you just upgraded to a new version, I am going to further assume that you upgraded to the most recent. But really, if you want our help, you’ll provide the info we ask for. If you don’t want our help, you’ll keep giving replies that ignore our advice and queries.

(If you want to get rid of the 20min delay between posts, people will need to upvote you. I am guessing that won’t happen until you start showing a willingness to help us help you. For example, I am sure you could get the requisite two upvotes just by actually posting the Debug Info.)
