Environment variables in settings network share

If a network share is used for settings storage a file “choice” unter
%APPDATA%\Notepad++\Cloudis written.
I want to preconfigure the path for my users with%HOMESHARE%%HOMEPATH%Configuration\Notepad++. But this isn’t working. I suggest to read and translate environment variables at this point. -
