By default the plugin note in Notepad plus,
save’s notes with the name of the user, time/date and .note file extension
to a temp folder located in C:\Users(users-name)\AppData\Local\Temp.
I didn’t want these time-stamped notes saved at this location
and was somewhat confounded as to how to set a different location to save these notes.
    Then I discovered this:
    Click on plugins
    Click on take notes
Click on options and update where you want notes to be stored.
So it turns out to be very simple, just a little elusive,
it would be handy if this setting was available in settings and preferences.

Plugins don’t (and can’t) use the normal Notepad++ Preferences UI.

      just a little elusive

      TBH, not at all
