Can someone show how to count the number of words in a notepad++ document? Using simple instructions?

Select all > plugin TextFX> TextFX Tools> WordCount.

Brilliant! I’d up vote twice if I could. I saw the original TextFX reply and was thinking - “I’m on 64-bit, there is no TextFX; how can I do it?”

TextFX is sort of deprecated, and continuing to give answers that use it is probably not the best idea (for future readers of these threads/posts). Especially when other viable options exist, and especially when the same things can be done inside Notepad++ (meaning no plugin needed).
