      Hi
      I have Copied ComparePlugin.dll to C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\plugins.
      Closed the notepad++ and reopened, but compare plugin is not showing up.

      Can you please let me know what should I do.

      Thanks

        Depending on the npp version you use the setup is different.
        Can you post your debug info, which is available from the ? menu?.

            @D-Mishra said in Comare Plugin not showing up in Plugin:

            7.8

            ok, two notes,

            first Local Conf mode : OFF means that configuration files and plugins are located and searched in %appdata%\notepad++

            and second, because this is a newer version you have
            to create a folder with the same name as the plugin to make it
            work which means you need to have a directory
            %appdata%\notepad++\plugins\ComparePlugin\

            but may I ask you why you don’t use the PluginAdmin to do the installation?

              Sir, Thank you for your suggestion. By creating compareplugin Folder it worked.
              But How do I use PluginAdmin ?

                From the plugins menu you should have a Plugins Admin item
                if you click it a dialog should open and you can check which plugins you want to install. Plugin Admin takes care to download
                it and put it into the correct places.

                  Thank you Very much. You really saved a lot of time for me.
                  Can you please help me , where do I get tricks and Tips for Notepad++.
                  There might so many features available in Notepadd++ but we are using very little out of it , We used to see other friends , how they use notepad++. Like removing Tabs to spaces is one feature available, I found it while someone was doing it.

                  Instead is there a place we can see all help full feature available in Notepad++.

                    @D-Mishra

                    the only source I’m aware of is the official documentation here.
                    It might not handle everything but I would say most of it.
