It was originally put in place due to a lot of spambots (which at least for the time being have gone away for the most part). Whether or not that 3 minute limit is still needed…I can’t say for sure.

Thanks Dail, I wonder if the time restriction could be lifted and then reimposed if needed in the future. I am used to other forums where posts can be edited without any time restriction - so I am used to tidying up messages after posting them.

this “not allowed to post for 1200 seconds” is too much of a problem.
And I don’t even know how to earn 2 reputation.
if a person has several issues and then he joins here to ask about them, why should he not be permitted?
we are not even allowed to reply to other persons’ posts for that duration.
Maybe, you can introduce moderation of new users posts to avoid spam, but this 1200 sec rule should be removed.

This “not allowed to post for 1200 seconds” is continuing to irritate me.
It has been some 2 weeks I have been here, I have posted 4-5 posts and comments.
Still I continue to get this error.
And your site designers don’t have courtesy to tell how to get that credit, and where to request for it.
Please remove this restriction for all users if you really want this community to be helpful.

I’m a newbie in the community. I use np++ some years and consider it a great product!
Like every sw, there are always some bugs, this is normal. But the community is active and update fast.
So, congratulations for the commitment and initiative in having created one of the best applications that I use a lot in my day to day. -

I just joined the community using my github account, but now I notice that my email address here has the domain set to @users.noreply.github.com
Does that just mean that email, like reply notifications, etc. will get sent to github and then get sent out to the email I have on file there, or do I need to change my email address here?

Don’t worry about your email address…absolutely nothing is done with it anyway (you will never get an email from this site).

Hi all, devs and community. Been using N++ heavily in a production environment for the last few weeks. I think it’s ideal for this work environment. I’m now slowly looking for plugins to make some things easier, or to create some custom simple plugins soon.
