      Hello Team
I know that this is old story and was asked here few times. But it would be very appreciated if we can remove (better: have option to disable) prefixing every line in search all results by “Line xx:”.
I know that I can copy-paste results to resolve this issue but this isn’t elegant.
Prefixing all lines by this text is:

      • waste of space
      • produce additional steps for people who doesn’t need this
      • is unnecessary because you can always select line and see what number it is

      Line 29: Patch 26760297 : applied on Wed Dec 13 12:27:24 MSK 2017
      Line 47: Patch 25575478 : applied on Wed Jun 07 13:19:10 MSK 2017
      Line 60: Patch 25192566 : applied on Wed Jun 07 13:17:50 MSK 2017
      Line 74: Patch 25345185 : applied on Wed Jun 07 13:16:14 MSK 2017
      Line 84: Patch 25360176 : applied on Wed Jun 07 13:14:50 MSK 2017
      Line 93: Patch 24738130 : applied on Wed Jun 07 13:12:12 MSK 2017
      Line 104: Patch 23009543 : applied on Mon Dec 26 16:53:44 MSK 2016
      Line 112: Patch 24407298 : applied on Mon Dec 26 16:51:02 MSK 2016
      Line 123: Patch 23125779 : applied on Mon Dec 26 16:48:58 MSK 2016
      Line 134: Patch 22535737 : applied on Mon Dec 26 16:48:34 MSK 2016
      Line 145: Patch 21473221 : applied on Mon Dec 26 16:48:06 MSK 2016

I don’t need to see and use "Line xxxx: " data in search results. I need only useful data like this:
Search “patch .* : applied” (11 hits in 1 file)
      E:\some_file.txt (11 hits)
      Patch 26760297 : applied on Wed Dec 13 12:27:24 MSK 2017
      Patch 25575478 : applied on Wed Jun 07 13:19:10 MSK 2017
      Patch 25192566 : applied on Wed Jun 07 13:17:50 MSK 2017
      Patch 25345185 : applied on Wed Jun 07 13:16:14 MSK 2017
      Patch 25360176 : applied on Wed Jun 07 13:14:50 MSK 2017
      Patch 24738130 : applied on Wed Jun 07 13:12:12 MSK 2017
      Patch 23009543 : applied on Mon Dec 26 16:53:44 MSK 2016
      Patch 24407298 : applied on Mon Dec 26 16:51:02 MSK 2016
      Patch 23125779 : applied on Mon Dec 26 16:48:58 MSK 2016
      Patch 22535737 : applied on Mon Dec 26 16:48:34 MSK 2016
      Patch 21473221 : applied on Mon Dec 26 16:48:06 MSK 2016

        @Klaudiusz-Gawlik ,

If you have really read the other discussions here in this forum that talk about similar issues, you will know that there is not concensus, even in the Community, about whether such an action would be “the best thing ever” or “the worst possible decision”. I am not sure whether you think stating your opinion as fact will make it fact, or if you think that by stating it again, you can impose your will on all other users, or if there is some other interpretation.

Further, if you had read even a small number of such discussions here, you would have seen a link to this FAQ, which explains that even if every single member of the Forum agreed with you, that wouldn’t change the fact that feature requests are not tracked here, and discussion in this Forum does not directly result in action or decisions by the developers.

I personally would vote against your change, if my vote had any meaning or weight (it doesn’t, since this is the Forum); the bulk of your argument is that “it takes me more time to get the results in the form that I like, so you should change it to match my preferences”; the bulk of the counter argument is “if it changed, it would take us more time to get the results in the form that we like”. Neither choice will make everyone happy. The current behavior is likely what the developer prefers, because it’s what he implemented when he decided the feature should be implemented; good luck changing his mind on that.
