Updates always want to change destination path

Why do new updates ignore my original installation and always try to change installation path? Is this something developers can fix in future releases?

Most other programs I use always place updated versions in same location.

If you go comment on the github issue, upvote it, etc, it increases the visibility of that issue, and maybe one of the Developers will look into it.
