      Selecting text in a forum post now brings up a floating quote button.
      As someone who likes to highlight the paragraph I am reading this is really annoying.

      I blocked it with a pop up blocker (uBlock Origin) but I wonder if other readers have an opinion on the matter.

        @gstavi ,

        Sorry, no strong opinion from me. I see it, but it stays out of my way, so it doesn’t bother me.

        The only reasons I select text in the forum are either to copy/paste into Notepad++, or to make a reply where I’m quoting a previous post: it doesn’t prevent me from doing the first, and it is a convenience-function for the second.

          Personally, I am a little irritated - not annoyed, but irritated.

            If we’re going to have “automated context menus”, why not add a Copy to this one? :-)

            Like Peter, I don’t have a strong opinion on the OP’s annoyance. If one “likes to highlight the paragraph I am reading”, I’ll notice that the “Quote” menu thingy doesn’t obscure that paragraph at all.
