Drag to reorder documents in Documet List?
-
I have my notepad++ setup as I like it, with a document list on the left hand bar showing all my working files.
On a previous install of Notepad++ on a seperate computer I could easily drag and drop these files to move them around, keeping eg php files all beside each other. On my new install on my new pc, this functionality is gone. I’ve been through the preferences etc and cannot find anything about this. All help would be greatly appreciated! -

On a previous install of Notepad++
Can you be more specific about this older version?
Meaning, which version it was?I quickly tried a few versions, going back as far as 6.x, and NEVER saw that drag and drop was available for the Document List files.

@alan-kilborn Now you have me doubting myself, but i’m 99% sure I used to drag to reorder them regularly. My previous pc crashed so I don’t know what version it was I had been using, but it was likely years and years old, I don’t know if I ever updated it tbh.

Well, unless someone else chimes in and says it works for them, I don’t know what else to do. Are you sure you weren’t thinking of actual file tabs, which are drag-n-droppable for reordering?

@alan-kilborn Hmm, I’m going to assume I have Notepad++ confused with something else as you seem to know what you are talking about. May have been an unexpectedly
senior
moment on my part sigh, thanks anyway! -

I’ve been accused of a lot of things, but rarely that. :-)
