Error starting Notepad in virtual WIN-XP ver 8.2.1

I have version 7.5.4 in my virtual WIN-XP development workstation. This WS is not connected to the internet and I still need to use it for legacy maintenance.
Upgraded to the latest version, but got an error (see pic).
Which version of Notepad still works with WIN-XP?

In the v7.9.3 release notes, they tell us that “Notepad++ 7.9.2 is the last version to run on Windows XP & Windows Server 2003. (Ref)”
