Notepad++ crashes when using auto copy selection plugin

I am using version 8.3.3 (64 bit) and when I use the auto copy selection to clipboard plugin, notepad++ crashes. With the latest update, this is a new occurrence.

No idea if there will ever be an official update. It looks like nobody is maintaining that plugin at the moment.
