      So I have a cool customized dark mode, which suits my eyes perfectly. But when I right-click, open something in the File Menu bar, or open a dialog, it is still a bright, blinding white, which is a complete eyesore in more than one way. Why doesn’t the dark mode apply to these elements, and could something be done about it? Thanks!
      P.S.: Yes, I do have the last version.

          “cool customized dark mode” <— what exactly does that mean?

          If I enable true dark mode in the Preferences, your scenarios all result in a dark UI except the File Open dialog which is, as you say “blindingly white”.

          But the File Open dialog is a “system” dialog, not authored by Notepad++ but rather by Windows itself. And, for dark mode fans, the presumption I would make is that they already have the Windows theme set to something dark… in which case Notepad++'s File Open dialog would also be dark.

            @Alan-Kilborn Thanks for the Windows theme suggestion - that should fix my issue. As for your confusion;

            It means that some of the theme colors, to be specific the text and border colours, I modified to neon green (I do like to play script kiddie), and it looks cool (to me, at least). Anyway, thanks again.
