    Is there anyway i can disable editing in notepad++. So it will display the contents of the file but not allow the user to change the file.

      Edit > Set Read Only

      Or make the file read-only through the OS interface.

          Oh, right, one more. There’s also the -ro command line option , which will open the file in read-only mode
