Clone file to multiple views
-
Hi,
Is it possible to improve NPP to clone files not for one view, but for several views by selecting?
Thanks,
Gor -

There are two views in Notepad++. I assume by “several views”, you actually meant, “I want to clone several files from the first view to the second”.
In that case, no, it’s not possible to do that in Notepad++.

@PeterJones Hi, thanks for the reply. The question was, is it possible to increase the number of views in new releases?

More views? No, I doubt the developers would add any more views.
I see no reason for it. Personally, I cannot handle more than two views plus the associated panels in any given window. I just switch which tab in a given view is active if I have more files that I want to switch between. If you were really desperate, you could CloneTo/OpenIn a different instance instead of the other view, and each instance can have two views. (But I don’t like multi-instance either, because it confuses people when you are changing settings, since only one of those instances has permission to save settings changes to disk for future use.)
But this is just a Community of fellow Notepad++ users, not the feature request location, so nothing I say would prevent you from putting in an official feature request. See our FAQ section, which links to where feature requests go.

I think better would be to have split view like MS-word has. Split view together with already available Alternate view feature could take care of all use cases for easier viewing of different parts of a large file together, avoiding any need of multiple instances. -
To echo Peter, in case you didn’t hear him respond to the other poster:
