Re: XML tools
How do I run the pretty files option in a folder of files. It works pretty well in a opened file.
Thanks in advance for the help.

XML Tools was designed to work on the file that is currently active. It was not designed to work on all the files in a folder.

@PeterJones oh ok, thanks.

That’s not correct. In the plugin’s menu you can find an entry Apply to all open files. If you check that, all actions (where it makes sense) you start from the plugin’s menu or its toolbar icons are applied to all open files.

Sorry, I’m not primarily an XML guy and I hadn’t had XML Tools on a computer in a few months, and that wasn’t a feature I ever used while playing around with it with previous installations, so I did not remember that the “Apply to all open files” feature existed.
Though the answer to @Bee-Hive would have to be: “open all of the files in the folder in Notepad++, and check that option for the plugin, then it can work on all the open files”. (At least, based on your phrasing, I still believe they cannot just point the plugin at the folder without first opening all the files in Notepad++, which is what the original question seemed like they wanted, to me.)

Sorry for my late response, but I visit the forum only occasionally.
It seems like you felt my last comment was in some kind offending, rude or at least harsh. If this is true I beg you pardon, it was not my intention to be like that. Maybe it seems so because English is not my mother tongue and I was not able to find an appropriate wording when I quickly fired off my comment.
And of course no one can know every single detail of all plugins, even if they use them themselves.
