User manual typing errors
-
Hi @PeterJones
I have read the first four chapters of the user manual and found a few typing errors you might want to correct:
https://npp-user-manual.org/docs/user-defined-language-system/
- “using a existing plugin”
-> correction: an existing - “langauge”
correction: language - “keywwords”
correction: keywords
https://npp-user-manual.org/docs/editing/
- “Using Alt + Mouse dragging or Alt + Shift + Arrow keys to make a selection in column mode”
correction: Use would be better - “Note: that the numerical boxes …”
correction: No colon - “sopme call it”
correction: some - " Revert to mopdified"
correction: modified
- “using a existing plugin”

Why don’t you make an issue?
https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/npp-usermanual/issuesAlso, typos are fairly obvious, but it is best to highlight them anyway. Why make the reader search for something you’ve already found?

@Alan-Kilborn I edited my post and highlighted the typos, if that is what you meant.
I had hoped that my contribution would be appreciated.

Well, it is better than nothing, but problems with the manual, like problems with the software, are best described in issues on github – did you look at the link I provided?
I had in mind something like this when I said typos are fairly obvious, but it is best to highlight them:
- Revert to mopdified
But surely what you did is fine as well.
It really isn’t that big of a deal. For something like this one, I like what you did, since it wasn’t really clear to me what you meant, instantly (now it is):
