I’m wondering why there is no “Find First” button in the Find window. The usually way I search is looking for the first match and then move down with the “Find Next” button. A “Find Last” button" could be considered, too. I know there are lots of workarounds to get the first match but is anyone else missing the “Find First” button?

        Hmmm… maybe…?

I guess I never thought of (missing/wanting) that. When I’m doing a search my intent is to start right from the caret’s current position. If I want to start from the top of document, I merely press Ctrl+Home first.

@datatraveller1 The Find All in Current Document button nearly does what you want. It’s a list, starting at the first match in the document.

@mkupper Thank you yes, that is what I am currently doing. But I would still like to see a “Find First” button - probably a matter of taste.

A matter of clutter, too. One or two more buttons for the uninitiated to have to visually scan.

@Alan-Kilborn I have got another opinion, but no problem. If there is not enough enthusiasm for this button, it is not worth opening a feature request.

Your feature, go ahead and open a request if you’d like.
