Getting a similar problem visiting notepad-plus-plus.org from Firefox:
Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to notepad-plus-plus.org. Peer reports it experienced an internal error. Error code: SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Also having this problem, tried it on several browsers like Edge, Brave, Firefox and Vivaldi and got the same problem every time.

Unable to connect to the website. Tested site with Qualys SSL Testing tool and it can’t connect either.

@Murray-Sobol-1 and others,
The problem is obviously real. So someone needs to go to https://GitHub.com/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus/issues and inform the owner about it. Because this is just the Community of users, and none of us has the access to figure out and fix web hosting problems.
Update: someone did: https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus/issues/14068

It’s been fixed now.

@PeterJones
Thanks, Peter, for fixing the issue.
In the future, when maintenance needs to be done on this website (I suspect that this was the root cause of this problem) please post a page stating that the web site is down for maintenance.Murray Sobol

Thanks, Peter, for fixing the issue.I had nothing to do with the fixing of the issue. As I said before, the Notepad++ Community is the community of users of Notepad++. We do not own Notepad++ nor its domain.
The owner of Notepad++ and the various Notepad++ domains is the one who fixed the problem.
I just pointed you to where to report a problem, and then updated it with a link to the issue where someone else had already reported the problem, and then I posted another reply when I saw that the problem had been fixed.

You suspect wrong. There was apparently some accidental problem that happened, which took the website down, unbeknownst to the owner of the website. When this was pointed out to him through the github issue, he then had to spend a couple hours trying to get the problem fixed.
please post a page stating that the web site is down for maintenance.
That’s rather hard for the owner to do when it wasn’t down for intentional maintenance, and the only way to get it working enough to be able to show a “down for maintenance” message would be to get it working enough that it could show the real website anyway.
