Notepad++ v8.6.2 release
-
Thank you very much for making such great software.
I am a Korean user.
- After editing a document, pressing the Kor/Eng keys on the keyboard to Kor Mode,
then select ‘File’ → ‘Save’ → pressing the ‘Save(S)’ button
in the “File save dialog”,
window does not work. The file name is not saved even if it is in Korean or English.
If you press the Kor/Eng keys to switch to English mode, it works normally. - If you press the Kor/Eng keys to open a file in Korean mode, the document
does not open.
Pressing the Kor/English keys to switch to English mode works normally. - The versions where the above phenomenon occurs are 8.5.5, 8.5.6, 8.5.7,
,8.5.8, 8.6.0, 8.6.1 and 8.6.2.

Notepad++ v8.6.2 Change log:
- Fix a regression: the position in the previous session is now restored correctly in cloned document. (Fix [14164])
Thank you so much, finally working again! :)
-
Auto-updater is triggered for v8.6.2.
-
If you hold ctrl and click the mouse many times it makes a duplicate copy
on version 8.5.8 and below there is no such thing, from Version 8.6.x it works as you can disable it or divide it like on version 8.5.8 so that you can press and hold the CTRL button without making many copies Thanks😔😔 -

Hello,
Thank you for this update!I’ve been using the vertical tabs (placed horizontally) all this while, however after updating to this release, all the the tabs are back at the top again.
And I was unable to find the “Document List Panel” which used be in the General tab of preferences.
But later I found that it’s been moved to the “View” menu, and it was not mentioned in the release notes, hence wanted to inform this.Thanks!

Settings > Preferences > General > Tab Bar > ☑ Vertical still exists.
And I was unable to find the “Document List Panel” which used be in the General tab of preferences. But later I found that it’s been moved to the “View” menu, and it was not mentioned in the release notes, hence wanted to inform this.
The display of the Document List Panel was moved to View menu in v8.1.3, and the other options were moved out of the Preferences and into the Panel GUI itself in v8.1.5 in September 2021, so of course it wasn’t in the release notes for v8.6.2 in January 2024.
