Error when trying to "check for updates"

When I follow this link:
I get this message:
403
Forbidden
Access to this resource on the server is denied!I KNOW that there is this issue: Fake Notepad++ website but I don’t believe that I am accessing it.

You have the right build date (can barely make out the “Mar 29 2024” from your About box), and when I check in v8.6.5 64-bit, that link properly takes me to https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ which does not have 403 Forbidden error for me.
Maybe you had bad timing, and the issue has been resolved already. Or maybe at one point you had failed Hostinger’s CloudFlare AreYouAHuman captcha. You might want to try to access the https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ website directly (not from the About box) using a variety of browsers… and if you have a machine that’s on a different IP (maybe your phone on data mode rather than wifi mode), you could try that.
To sum up: the link in the About box works, and the website is working for me, so it’s not something common to everyone, and could be something specific to your situation.
