Multiple save as - how to?
-
Hello,
I am new to the forum and notepad++. Have searched on this topic but not seen what I need…I want to open, say, 10 or more .txt files and then save them all as .html. So I am calling this multiple save as.
I know I can save multiple files, but how to convert to html within the save process is my issue. Thanks in advance.

I could recommend how to do this with plugins, but I won’t, because this is fundamentally not a task for Notepad++.I would recommend learning PowerShell or Python, to name just two of the many tools that can accomplish this for you. Of course, if you only need to rename 10-20 files once, you could probably do this by hand in less time than it would take you to write a script.
If you choose to go that route, StackOverflow and Google would be your best friends, not this forum, because this forum is really only for discussing how to do things with Notepad++.
