      First post, new user, hope this is the right place to post a feature request…

      At present, the ‘Search Results Window’ command shows and sets focus to the search results pane. If it’s already visible, it sets focus to it. It’s mapped to F7 by default.

      I would like to request it be a toggle. If the search results pane has focus and the ‘Search Results Window’ command is invoked, hide the pane.

      Thanks…

      Barry

        @Barry-Seymour ,

        “FAQ: Feature Request”

        As far as discussion goes: I think you would find it hard to gain traction with that, even in the right location. There are users who rely on F7 putting their focus in the results window, then F7 again to put the focus back in the editor panel while still leaving the results open/visible. If you made it close the window instead, those users would complain.

          @Barry-Seymour said in Feature Request: Toggle Search Results Pane:

          If the search results pane has focus

          Press ESC = hide the panel

          Not a “toggle”, but a single simple keypress.

          Cheers.
