If this issue is not new to 8.6.7 (and it is NOT) then it doesn’t belong in this thread; only issues new and important in 8.6.7 belong in this topic.

I think this is more of a feature enhancement request rather than an important bug with 8.6.7 (indeed, I’m sure this has existed for many years in Notepad++). Please make an official feature request on github for your expected behavior in this circumstance…oh, wait, didn’t you get yourself banned from the N++ github site? Hmm, oh well…

@wonkawilly , as you well know, by being here for a very long time, the Notepad++ Version Release Announcements are not for generic feature requests. They are for regressions in the software that happened in that version – so if you found something that worked in v8.6.6 and didn’t work in v8.6.7, then you would mention it here. Otherwise, don’t post in the Release Announcements.

You know this. Don’t violate the policies of this forum again.

(You’d think that someone who was annoying enough to get himself banned from the GitHub issues location would be on his best behavior in other related places, like this forum, rather than trying to be as annoying as possible in as many places as possible.)
