I use Document List.
It would be beneficial if Document List could have three “disketteicon” color categories:
blue - normal
red - changed not saved yet
other color for ex. green - recently saved for ex. ten latest files.Thank you,

You probably want to read our FAQ about Feature Requests, otherwise you will be sorely disappointed.
Also, if it is implemented, it would need to also work with the Alternate Icons (which are infinitely better than the 90s-diskette icons, and work so much better for colorblind users and those who otherwise have trouble when the only difference between an icon is the color), so if the Green Checkmark is normal and Yellow Pencil is changed-without-saved, what would you recommend as the shape of the N-recently-saved category?

You are right.
In my use case it would be recent changed files related or not to each other. They are not changed outside Notepad++. They are something that I am focused to do, currently working or maybe some hours later. Something that I am engaged.

I could imagine something like a flash shape.
