      Ciao,
      Grazie!
      Salvatore

        Hi,
I started using Notepad++ and it’s a really good editor. However, I was very surprised, given the particular attention to detail, by the behavior with so many sequences of CRTL+Z & CTRL+Y: it’s crazy!!!
There is not, as it should be, a fixed point of modification, the center of the screen: sometimes the operation occurs at the top, another at the bottom, sometimes outside the screen… you get lost!!!
Is it just my problem, of possible updates, or is it really like that? If it is really like that, is it just me who is not used to this mode or do you also think that this could lead to an improvement in use?
        Thanks!

Please be aware that the majority of forum members are used to english being used in the posts. If you continue to post in your native language please also post a translated copy for members. Remember it is you who wants help not the helper. Suggest put your native language into a translator website (Google translate is often touted as being excellent) and then get the english output and translate back to your language so you can sure the translation isn’t corrupting your meaning.

          @Terry-R said in CRTL+Z & CTRL+Y:

There is not, as it should be, a fixed point of modification, the center of the screen:

I cannot see any noticeable difference in behavior with respect to undo (Ctrl+Z) and scrolling to see the action that’s being undone in Notepad++ vs MS notepad.exe .

Too much centering of such actions may confuse or annoy some users, even though you believe that the experience would be better if it always centered. With regards to personal preferences like that, it is difficult to make everyone happy.

You could put in a feature request (see our FAQ for the right place, since the developer doesn’t read most discussions in this Forum) to make auto-centering of Undo/Redo actions an option, but I doubt that the developers would think that it would be worth implementing (though I am quite willing to be proven wrong in this regard).

Going by the translation Terry R posted, this is the same behavior discussed recently here:

            https://community.notepad-plus-plus.org/topic/26403/

and, as noted in that thread, there is a GitHub issue here:

            https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus/issues/15878

            addressing it.

Honestly, I think this is very unlikely to change, and I think it would be very difficult to “fix” in a consistent way. But, see the GitHub discussion and add to it, if you have observations or suggestions.
