A new category for the this forum, for sharing solutions

Hi,
I think it would benefit all to have a category where users can share a solution they found for themselves and which they think can help others too.
Either because they think it was challenging to find, or it’s just a nice find, it’s cool or whatever :)(Unless it’s a new plugin, and that can go to the “Notepad++ & Plugin Development” category).
Gives satisfaction to the poster and grows a bank of solutions/tips for various problems for the rest of us, that the search engine will help us find in future.

If someone wanted to tag something with “TIPS” or some such, that would work. Tags are an under-utilized feature of the forum – the only ones who consistently use it are spammers. So maybe if people put real tags on posts, it would become a useful feature of the forum.

The advantage of a specific category is that one can subscribe / watch that particular one. Or binge in reading many “solutions” in a row.
“General” is general, almost anything goes there.
“Blog” is for blogs… which IMO is something like long prose, chronological… doesn’t seem suitable (to me) for sharing a few random tips/ solutions one finds.Perhaps you’re right that tags are underutilized. Though in this case, I’m not sure that a single tag would fit the many kinds of tips/solutions one would like to share. Because there is no enforcing of a particular tag.
