Issue with XML Tools Pretty Print

In recent uses of Notepad++, I found the XML Tools Pretty Print was adding extra lines to the file and making it badly formed. The Workaround that I found wors was to first use the Pretty Print - Indent Attributes and then, if I used Pretty Print, it operated correctly.
When it fails, it was usually a file with a large block of text with no carriage returns or indents.
I just installed v8.8.7 64 bit and it seems to be fixed.
