WHERE ARE SETTINGS > PREFERENCES SAVED?

It’s all very well to say that Settings are Saved in
%APPDATA%/NotePad++
but for the life of me I cannot find the actual file that saves the Preferences we set under
Settings > Preferences!
Does anyone have a clue? -
I found the answer myself.
The Settings are saved in
%APPDATA%\Notepad++\config.xml
but not until you close Notepad++
so if for some reason you don’t close it, then the settings are easily lost!
