You've a lot of reasons to hate Notepad++

Good reminder.
That’s why I am continuing with v8.3.1 and I don’t intend to update to any newer version ever, God forbid, as long as my current w8.1-64bit setup is healthy.
I might be missing some great new features, but new updates hardly give anything worthwhile but they often break the things that had been working pretty well ever since. At this age, I cannot remember how I had earlier put those settings, nor have the energy to do entire research all over again.
So, un-updated software work the best for me.

Don’t complaint just move away to Visual Studio Code
I use to love Notepad++ but unfortunately I’m moving away -

I downloaded it but sadly. I couldn’t use it. I am on w8.1 and it works only on W10-11.
Shall find if they are having an earlier version that used to work on w8.1-64 bit.
Do keep posting useful softare suggestions.

It’s like boycotting the Google because you don’t like the political views of your neighbor because he delivers mail to an executive the works for Google! I can promise you, if you lived like that you would never be able to use anything.
I guess we better start checking the political opinions of whomever is administering each server between our computers and every site we visit!
