PHP Lang: Word vs Keyword
-
Following on from this:
https://community.notepad-plus-plus.org/topic/15983/php-additional-syntax-highlighting
In comparing an older styler xml with a recent factory generated one, there was in the old:WordsStyle name="KEYWORDS"In the new:
WordsStyle name="WORD"The factory
WORDis the go, no problem with that, how then didKEYWORDSever get in there, might it have been a ghostly echo from wayback?
Edit:
Also discovered a change withTCL KEYWORDreplaced byINSTRUCTION WORDalong with others, as intended by the authors. In which case there are no issues. :) -
The name in the WordsStyle element is just the text that shows up in Style Configurator. It holds no other internal meaning, and thus can be whatever you want it to be. (The StyleID is what does the mapping, not the name) The default values for the name attribute in the model file try to be meaningful relative to what the syntax highlighter uses that style for, but it’s not always perfect. If there is something that would help you when using the Style Configurator, feel free to edit your theme to use that value instead (but I wouldn’t recommend publishing a theme with edited names, because that would just cause confusion to others).
