URL not understood after #!
-
When I hover over a URL in NP++, and click to go to the page, it messes up the URL after the #!
Here are the URLs, and what they open to, right under it:
Google Group - Lake County Liberty Coalition
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/lake-county-liberty-coalition
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!overviewInvite people to join the group
https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!managemembers/lake-county-liberty-coalition/invite
https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!overviewAdd a topic and start posting
https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!newtopic/lake-county-liberty-coalition
https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!overview
Compare
Click these URLs, and they open to the three below, respectively:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/lake-county-liberty-coalition
https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!managemembers/lake-county-liberty-coalition/invite
https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!newtopic/lake-county-liberty-coalitionhttps://groups.google.com/forum/#!overview

Hello Jorge,
Yes, you’re right. the combination
#!
doesn’t work, seemingly, when used inside N++ links.My first idea was to change the Sharp character by the well-known syntax %nn, where nn represents the two hexadecimal digits of the ANSI or ASCII character => # = %23 That syntax didn’t work too, nor was the syntax %23%21 to simulate the two characters %! !
Finally, the syntax, below, seems OK. When you double-click on that link, from inside N++, it does open your browser and aim to the desired site
https://groups.google.com/forum/#%21forum/lake-county-liberty-coalition
So, you just have to replace the string
#!
by the string#%21
in some of your links. You don’t even need a regular expression to do so :-))Best regards,

Got it, yes, replace the exclamation point with %21
Are there any other characters like this?
Couldn’t this be automated?
