      Hi,

I use Notepad++ exclusively to write python programs. I am learning programming. Every time I save a program, I have to open the drop down to select the .py or .pyw ext.

How do I set python as the default extension?

      Thanks.

        Hello @George-Christovich

Settings->Preferences->New Document-> set your default language.

        Cheers

          Finally, found it.

In Settings, Preferences, New Document, Default Language… set as appropriate.

          Hope this helps someone else.

          George

            Thanks Claudia,

It didn’t take long to learn you were the go-to guru around here.
