bullet icon next to the line number ...

I’m new in notepad++. I noticed when I click on a line, i see a bullet icon appear next to the line number. I tried to find out what it is for but no luck. Can anyone advise what i can i do with the bullet ?

I assume you talk about the bookmark. Press F2 than it will jump to this line.
