Syntax highlighting

Hello,

After one of the notepad++ updates the syntax highlighting partly stopped working for me. I’ve set up files with .xml extension to be opened in notepad++ by default, however, when I double click such file, it’s opened with no syntax highlighting (the file is being recognized as JSON file). When I click right mouse button and choose “Edit with Notepad++” the same file opens and syntax highlighting works for it.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

afaik, this was a problem with previous version of npp, current version shouldn’t have this issue anymore.
Which npp version do you use? Can you post the debug info (available under ? menu)

Hello,

Thank you for the information. I’ve updated the notepad++ however the problem didn’t dissapear. I’ve closed all tabs/second view window and then closed the notepad++. After that it works like a charm :)
