Hi, I’ve posted a bug report here:

But I’m not sure if this is the right place?

Basically the Compare plugin installed by the Plugin Manager is an old version (v1.5.6) with a major bug. The latest version of Compare is v1.5.6.2 which fixes this bug and others.
