Language setting for html + javascript file

If I’ve got an html file which contains a javascript script, how should I set the language for the file? Can I set it so that notepad++ recognises the appropriate language for the appropriate lines? It doesn’t seem that I can, only that I can set one language for the whole file? Or should I be using separate files for each part?
