Possible Bug or ....

SItuation: npp on win 10
large file 25,000 lines of text with tab at 30 characters
Occasionally when inserting new lines at various places in the file, a later part of the file will become corrupted - today it was inserting some sporadic character at the end of the line and deleting the first character of the succeeding line.
Sorry I can’t give a better example - it’s on another computer. Is this a known problem with large text files or am I doing something wrong?

Turn off Settings > Preferences > Backup > Enable session snapshot and periodic backups. It is a known issue that it can corrupt large files.
