Notepad++ Suddenly Not Opening Fully

When opening Notepad++ the only part that shows is the content area with the lines. The entire area above Line 1 is blank, i.e. no tabs, no menu, etc. It can only be closed by either Task Manager or right-clicking on the task bar and closing the window. Version is 7.1 64 bit running on Windows 10. I tried this upgrade because the same problem appeared with the previous version. Uninstalling and reinstalling gives the same results. I now suspect a Win 10 issue, but Notepad++ has worked like a charm for years until now. Anyone else experiencing this?

Notepad++ opens fine now. Computers are strange at times.
