      Hi guys
I’m having trouble setting/changing file associations - it’s simply not sticking in 7.1 (either 32 or 64 bit)
In 64-bit I can’t even get the application to come up in the ‘Open With’ menu on Win 7 x64, and the only way I can set the associations is to launch np++ in administrator mode.
With the 32-bit app, I can at least use the ‘open with’ menu to make the choices sticky, but they don’t persist when I uninstall 32-bit and run up 64-bit.

I’ve got UAC on, but set to only notify if other applications make changes.

I had similar issue. I fixed it by replacing all C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++ references by C:\Program Files\Notepad++ in registry. After reboot, files where associated with x64 version.
