I used the .NET project template to create a Notepad++ plugin but Notepad++ says the plugin is ANSI and not compatible.

      Hello all,

I am trying to create a simple plugin using C#. I am using Visual Studio 2015 Community on Windows.

I downloaded the NppPlugins.NET template and placed it in the C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Visual Studio 2015\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual C# directory. I created a new Notepad++ project and compiled it without changing anything. I placed the resulting DLL file in my Notepad++ plugins directory. I started Notepad++ but got an error saying that the plugin is ANSI and not compatible (despite a readme in the project template saying that it is unicode).

Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there a way to fix it? Is there a Unicode version of the .NET template?

      Thanks.
