Notepad++ not usable with network drives

It’s not possible to use Notepad++ with ejected network drives. The whole application hangs, the interface don’t reacts.
Really a stressful behaviour… -
please provide more information
which operating system do you use?
what do you mean by “interface”? … Notepad++ or computer?
please list the sequence of events and actions that lead to the problem
for example:
- i navigate to a network drive and double click on text file
- Notepad++ opens and i start editing the text file
- network drive drops out sometime during editing
- i try to save the text file and Notepad++ freezes for 20 minutes.
